David Graves is a retired general superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene. Dr. Graves was the senior pastor of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, Kansas, where he had served since 2006 before being elected general superintendent. Prior to College Church, he served as director of the Sunday School Ministries Department for the Church of the Nazarene International Headquarters from 2001–2006. He has had pastoral assignments in Kansas, Ohio, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and North Carolina. Graves is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) and received his Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from ONU. He is the author of three books and has written for numerous publications. Graves is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. In 2003, Olivet granted him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.
He and his wife, Sharon, currently reside in Olathe. They have three sons, Michael, John, and Steven, and a daughter, Rachel. They also have one granddaughter, Avery.
